Welcome to 2021!
Dear BARRC Members,Thank you for putting your trust and faith in me as your BARRC President. I would like to congratulate our new officers, and our officers who will continue in their existing roles.
Sending a huge “Thank You” to Robin who did an OUTSTANDING job as our President. I have some big shoes to fill and I am sure it will be challenging. Our biggest challenge continues to be trying to make plans while observing COVID-19 state mandated guidelines. We will update our calendar/site with planned events, so please check the BARRC site regularly. We have an amazing BOD/officers and committee leaders, working together and representing our club toward a productive year even within our current health limitations. I present to you our 2021 BARRC officers. A list of committee leaders and additional information can be found at www.barrc.org

Director: Jayme Wessels I would like to share a little background about myself. I have been a member of BARRC for 15 years. When I joined, I was a little intimidated, in awe and excited! However, I was fortunate that various members and breeders encouraged me to get involved with the club and encouraged my RR education with mentoring and guidance. With that in mind I would like to share some of my own visions and goals for our club in 2021.
First, I want our members to know their input is always valued prior to the BOD making decisions. Your voices are important to the club and I encourage all members to speak up at meetings.
Second, I would like to see BARRC grow and hoping to achieve an increase in membership during my term. I would like to hear your thoughts on how we mightcampaign for new members, while encouraging existing members to become more involved with club activities, whether related to competition or non-competition functions. My friendly challenge to each member is to think about what interested you to join BARRC and to stay involved in our club. What additional activities would be something we might consider adding to our calendar of events? We will move forward with planned activities such as Agility, Fast-CAT, Lure Coursing, Tracking, Scent work, Rally and Obedience, and our Fun Days as health restrictions makeit possible.
Another goal I have is to reinstate a “Mini” BARRC store and have BARRC items available for sale to our members, such as t-shirts, hats and other BARRC items. I encourage our members to contact me with suggestions and ideas at email@example.com or call me (916) 599-1490 or get in touch with one of our BOD members, listed on the BARRC site. Thank you!!Tina Jones
