Tine Jones, President
I became a member of BARRC in 2005 and I soon became involved in many aspects of the club. I have been fortunte to have many RR breeders, owners and club members share their knowledge and experiences about this unique breed. During my years with BARRC, I have had the honor of serving as Recording Secretary, Director, First VP and now President in 2021. I am also a member of our Parent Club, RRCUS. I have enjoyed being involved with this amazing breed and I look forward to spending many more years with RRs in my life and being a part of an awesome extended RR family.

With our curent Ridgeback we also participate in additional dog sports, including FAST CAT, Tracking, Lure Coursing and Trick Dog. Erik and I have, with the help of Dr Clayton Heathcock and others, created POST; a pedigree online search tool for Ridgeback pedigrees. We have provided this database to RRCUS for free for the last 23+ years, for which RRCUS has given us honorary lifetime membership.
Erik was born in Copenhagen and I was born in New York City. We make Roseville our home and now consider ourselves firmly Californians.
Casie Smith, Recording Secretary
While living in San Diego (2005-2014) I was on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Rhodesian Ridgeback Club and also served as President. I am currently the Recording Secretary for BARRC and also a member of RRCUS. My kennel name is Mendocino.
Karen Charney, Director
While it took some convincing, I entered the Conformation ring with my boy Huxley, in 2017. I found a wonderful, suportive group of people that love this breed as much as I do.
Carol Vesely, Director
For BARRC, I have held a variety of Officer positions. I am currently the Chair for BARRC Obedience, Rally and Agility as well as a member of the RRCUS Performance Committee. I have also volunteered at several RRCUS National Specialties as Obedience Chair, Performance Chair and Triathlon Chair.
I also breed under the Northstar kennel name.
Robin Cohen, Ex Officio
I fell in love with our breed when I first saw them at a dog show in Sacramento in the early seventies. However, it wasn't until 2003 that my first RR came into my world. I joined BARRC the following year and entered my first, and BARRC's first, Specialty in 2004.
I have been extremely fortunate and grateful to have been guided by the collective knowledge and wisdom of many BARRC members and I have enjoyed my involvement as a volunteer through the years, as well as serving on the Board. I expect to continue learning and volunteering for as long as BARRC will allow!
